Working inside IPC

IPC was the organisation I worked within from 2023 to 2024. The role covered direct corporate communication for IPC and design work across several European Union funded programmes. The programmes had different institutions and approval processes, but the production remained part of one IPC role.

My role

I worked as Art Director and was formally appointed Jr. Non-Key Graphic Design Expert on METU DTX, smartturkiye and AnkaTheraHub. These appointments belonged to the same IPC working period and were not separate employers.

Programme communication

Programme communication had to work across institutions, audiences and languages. I produced campaign layouts, event communication and repeatable social media systems while keeping mandatory funding marks and institutional identities intact.

Wide event banner for a digital transformation conference, dark blue with a circuit motif, carrying the Turkish flag, the European Union emblem and the funding statement along the top.
METU DTX conference banner. The funding marks are part of the required communication and are kept intact.
Portrait conference poster listing the programme themes in Turkish and English over a dark technical background.
Square announcement for a second open call inviting companies to apply for consultancy support, set in teal with a deadline block.
Europe Day greeting with the Turkish and European Union flags meeting across a pale background.
Square social post introducing a laboratory unit, with a bilingual caption bar over a molecular illustration on deep blue.
Event announcement for an introductory meeting, with the date, time and venue set in a panel over a light background.

Publications and identity applications

The work also included multi-page reports, editorial systems, presentations and identity applications for IPC and the programmes it delivered. Long documents required a clear hierarchy that could remain stable across languages and approval rounds.

Open publication spread with a green contents column on the left and a full-bleed photograph of an industrial site on the right.
Publication layout for a KABEV report produced during the IPC period.
Desk calendar standing open, with an illustrated circular diagram on the left page and a month grid on the right.
Roll-up banner on a pale floor, dark blue with a node network graphic and the programme wordmark at the top.
Two navy business cards overlapping on a white surface, one showing the programme mark and one the contact side.
Tall roll-up banner for a regional smart specialisation programme, with the programme name stacked over a light graphic field.
Square campaign post for an agricultural employment programme, with illustrated field imagery and a bilingual headline.

Designing within institutional constraints

European Union and Türkiye funding marks, programme identities and partner logos were mandatory parts of the layouts. My responsibility was to organise the communication around those elements, not to redesign or claim ownership of them.

What this period established

The work strengthened my approach to systems that must survive multiple languages, approval rounds and institutional requirements without losing visual clarity.

Project details

Responsibilities
  • Art direction across programme communication material.
  • Publication and report layout, including multi-page bilingual documents.
  • Campaign templates that colleagues could fill without breaking the rules.
  • Event material: posters, roll-ups, stage and stand branding, presentation systems.
  • Identity applications such as stationery, calendars and bags.
Production areas

Working environment

Institutional rather than commercial. Approval runs through more people than in an agency, the audience is often a public body, and a piece has to work as a record as well as a message.

Credits
  • Worked inside project teams alongside programme coordinators and technical experts. The design contribution described here is the communication material; the programmes themselves were delivered by those teams.
